Description

This magnificent sculpture captures two humpback whales as they break the ocean’s plane to breathe. Utilizing the signature “Mixed Media” technique, the whales are hand-sculpted in fine metals—such as pewter, brass, and bronze—and finished with a “hot patina” to achieve their deep, organic colors. They are then permanently encased in crystal-clear, hand-carved Lucite, creating the illusion of heavy giants suspended effortlessly in a block of frozen water.
